Why am I doing an on-line journal?

So that you will have something to read as you browse the web. There needs to be some intellectual content out here, after all!
No, the real reason is that I want to be on the forefront, the cutting edge, of new technology. And I'm hoping that someone will see these pages and realize how very brilliant I am and hire me to invent things for them and write things for them and pay me a fantastic amount of money.
OK, so the real reason is that I'm sure that someone out there will compare me with Dave Barry, realize how much money he is making, figger that they can get me for much less, and pay me a fantastic amount of money.
Someone out there will discover what a nice guy I am and give me a fantastic amount of money because nice guys never have any money and this someone has a lot of money and they want to see a nice guy get ahead.
I'm an egotist, with even less reason for being an egotist than most egotists have.
I'm having fun.
