Background

This page is gonna require a lotta thinking… should I tell all the world about my sleazy background? There's a reason why I never went into politics, y'know…. I grew up in various places, most notably in Albuquerque, Enid, Oklahoma and Topeka. I've been in Topeka since 1959, doing about 1 1/2 years at Crane Jr. High, and I graduated from Topeka High. I went to Saint Francis School of Radiologic Technology, worked for about three months at Sante Fe Hospital (Later the defunct Memorial), spent a couple of years in the U.S. Army in a Foreign Country(Georgia, USA) worked at Sante Fe some more, & went to work at St. Francis in July 1970. I got married in 1971 & had two boys, J.D. and Tyler. Started a business with a partner in 1978 got Divorced in 1979. Sold out of the business in 1981, quit drinking in 1983, got married to a Wonderful Woman in 1984. I got my first real computer, a Commodore 64, in 1983. Herman & I started Micro Majik Mart in 1985 & went broke in 1986. Had a coronary in 1989 at the hospital(I knew there was a reason I hung around there!). Had my job at the hospital cut & went back to x-raying people in 1991. Went to nights in 1992, love it, been there ever since. Had another coronary in 1995 while visiting my Mother in Enid. Really scary, had to call 911, etc. They cured me again. Karen & I have four grandkids( actually, I'm not old enough to be a grandfather --- I married a grandmother!) four cats and a dog. Karen has three children, a girl and two boys. I love the stepkids & grandkids like they were my own --- Recovering from recent surgery, I spend a lot of time computing, and will spend a lot of time Bass fishing when the weather gets better!
