Cancer never wins without dying.

Cancers are only our own cells reproducing wildly. It isn't an entity by itself. I don't really think that personification does any harm, but it doesn't do any real good, either.

If we should happen to survive all other forms of death, cancer will eventually get us. Or maybe not; but death still remains inevitable.

Humanity is both wonderful and despicable, sometimes at the same time.

Spirits fatigue, just like bodies do, and they need to be refreshed occasionally.

I finally went to sleep about 04:00 last night, and didn't get awakened until 08:30 or so, so I got the equivalent of a good nap, heh.

I did eight or ten patients, then came home about 13:00.

I've been up ever since, and I'm starting to drag a bit.

Karen just got home for the second time, she's had a pretty good day, I think, and she's still upright, but tired... she's been on the go with her kids since about 11:00 this morning. Quite an outing for her.

A little political jab here... a man's gotta shoot his own dog. Bush needs to start with the A.G., then on up the line to the VP... and save one for himself, of course.

It's 19:30 now, and I think that I need to go to sleep... I'm still liable to get called after 23:00, after all, dammit.

But maybe I'll get lucky, and both get to sleep ***and*** not get called, heh. Fat chance....
