Heh... thunderstorms all over Kansas again tonight... we're in an alert until 04:00 in the AM. "Particularly Dangerous Situation", or something like that, is what they're saying... I just looked it up, that's the correct term.. Wait, no, I didn't look it up, it came on the KANU net radio feed.... A relatively little town in SW Kansas got wiped out last night... by a big, big twister, maybe a mile in diameter. I wish that I knew how to get a picture from the radar screens and save it... haven't figgered that out yet, if anyone has, please let me know, I would appreciate it. I got up about 08:00 this morning, Debbie was already up and going, I think that she's an early riser. Karen got up right before I was going down to get her, I opened the door just as she was getting ready to grab the handle. We went out for breakfast and had a really nice time... at first I wasn't going to go, dreading long lines. But when we got to the place, we were immediately seated; I went to put my name in before the ladies got there, and there was a large gaggle of people coming in, so we senendipitously got there at just the right time. Debbie left about an hour later, she's picking up her mother-in-law in KC and taking her back to Wichita for a visit. Deb is such a nice woman. And since then, nothing interesting to write about... just the weather. O'yeah, I've decided who not to vote for... well, And the hell of it is... he has just as good a chance as any of them. In fact, right now, he probably ranks about third on the list of ten. And I'm starting to waffle a bit on my choice for democrats... O'Bama is starting to look better. And now to cover religion, I will simply state the simple fact that I am an atheist. And that just defines how I feel about gods in general, and doesn't really reflect anything about any other aspect of my life. I will probably be up most of the night watching the weather... there are thunderstorms developing right south of her, and moving north, with another one popping up when the last one leaves the area... so it just might get exciting. And there's also a lot of excitement in western Kansas, same tracks as the storms last night, with some "wedge" tornados... never heard of that before. Heh, it appears that a wedge tornado does not really mean much. However, the thunderstorm that is hitting us right now is meaningful... it means that it'll be a while before I go out to the shop to smoke another cigar.... Damn, looking at the radar, there are about five thunderstorms surrounding Topeka right now, three of them moving in fast.... And I'm gonna send this up the line while we still have electrons moving through the wires...
blow in circles and in squares;
I'll sit here and watch.
besides any republican, anyway. Our own Kansas Senator, Brownback. Doesn't believe in evolution. But that's not the only laughable thing about him, there are many.
