Not too bad a day at work, but I didn't get to sleep until after 01:00 last night yet again. I was on the console today, and we were fully staffed and adequately busy, so my legs didn't get work out... that'll happen tomorrow when I'm in the scan room. I do miss the patient contact, though. It was another beautiful day today, and our schedule was done by 15:00, so, once again, I left. I think that it got up to 80°F, just like they said it would. And now there's a cold north wind, blowing in some rain later tonight and tomorrow. But I don't mind, not at all. There was some news Monday... a national congressman, Rep. Pete Stark (D-California), declared himself godless. Wow, what an uproar from the right wing! One guy out of, what? 550? tells the truth, and suddenly everyone else is afraid that they're gonna have to tell the truth, too. One organization, Christian Seniors Association, says, "Congressman Stark's statement is a very sad benchmark for America. It could be the moment which defines the decline of our country or it could be the spark which marks I have always been interested to see what religious people do when they are confronted with reality... they get pretty good at denying it very quickly. Again from the same page:"That would be the day that religious Americans stood-up to the liberal bullies who are so determined to use the power of government to silence prayer and every other religious expression of free speech." This, folks, is a full-blown panic. They are wanting all congress-critters to stand up, one by one, and be counted on the god issue. I think that there would be some surprises there if honesty could be guaranteed... O'wait, we're talking about politicians... most of whom are lawyers... and I'm just being foolish to think about honesty. I am thinking about bed, though. And I am hopeful that it will let me sleep tonight.
your cold grip will soon be lost...
then, southerly winds.
an important day."
