Cold day today, and the least busy day that we have ever had in the CT suite ever. I think that it was a combination of the cold and the "holiday"... We did have a spate of in-patients, though, and that made us feel not quite so useless. And I got to do a drainage procedure all by myself! It was short, simple and quick, once we finally got started... it was scheduled at 13:00, but the patient didn't get to the department until almost 14:00, he'd checked in at the wrong place and they'd sent him off on wild goose-chases.... And 3/5s of us left at 15:00, including me. I'd called Karen about 13:00, thinking that she'd still be in bed, but no, she was up and (relatively) about. She'd gotten dressed and everything. Cold here... WindChill tonight is supposed to be -9°F... with the real temp being about +6°F. So OK... I've had enough of winter already. In another month it'll be wonderful here, and it'll stay that way until about August, then be hellishly hot for a month, then beautiful again until December. And that's the way the weather rolls in Kansas. And the Kansas School Board rolls every two years, it seems... we have new scientific standards for evolution coming out... yet again... so for the next two years, at least, we won't be the laughing-stock of the nation. Well, not on that particular point, anyway. I did sleep very well last night finally... hope to do so again, starting shortly....
