Three day's worth of entries... this one written just after the SuperBowl. It's been a good sports weekend for me, with the Manning-led Colts winning the game today. And I forgot to mention yesterday that the Cats weren't doing really good with the round-ball until I put on my purple Wildcat hat. And Karen watched the Jayhawks without putting on her 'Hawk hat, so they lost. Another crummy night on the hide-a-bed... I bacame a believer in futons after visiting Dan last year and sleeping on one for almost a week; it wasn't as good at my waterbed, but better than most hotel beds that I've slept on. We had breakfast and sat around and talked for quite a while, and then Kim and Tom left about 13:45, and then we left about 15:30. I drove back to Topeka, making only one stop. Well, two... shortly after we left Wichita, I realized that the hood was lifting a little bit. Yesterday I had accidentally hit the emergency brake when I parked, and I pulled the lever to put it back and then I realized that I'd forgotten that it was on the console... I'd opened the hood by mistake. I remembered when I saw the hood doing a little dance at 70MPH and stopped and slammed it home. We got home around 17:30 or so, and turned on the TV... but not before we'd missed the first touchdown ***EVAH*** in a Superbowl on the opening kickoff. O'well, I can live with that. And it's back to work tomorrow... I'm looking forward to a different kind of stress than what I've had lately.
