Daily Nilknarf Haiku
the structure of life:
eternal optimism
and a full stomach.

Not a bad day for a Friday... and I'm looking forward to the weekend off, especially since I was on call last weekend.

I was the Z guy today, and I got to do one biopsy. The last time I got to do one was on 01June... I haven't been much lucky lately.

It seems that mostly I was doing catch-up stuff and a lot of running. Got to do a few IVs, too. One patient was so impressed with my stick that she said she was going to have them call me when she had her colonoscopy... I really hope that she doesn't, 'cause I was lucky today... I have trouble being lucky when I'm under pressure.

I had a gal yesterday or the day before ask me when I was gonna retire, and I told her about six years and she told me that she was glad that I would be around for so long to do her IVs, heh. I only hope....

The did the final tune-up on the new machine today, and there was some sort of a problem. I only hope that they get it going by Monday, when we'll start our training. I'm looking forward to that, yes I am.

And today left me really tired... actually, it was the last two weeks that have done that. Or maybe the last 60 years....

I'm gonna try to get up early tomorrow, my boys gave me a gift card at Lowes, so I gotta go spend it on some tools, I think. I'm gonna get a good dovetail saw, for one thing... well, I'm sure that I won't have any trouble spending it all.
