Thunder, lightning, O!
hide, hide, hide from that evil
god-guy in the clouds!

The notification for my guestbook is evidently not functioning right now, but as I was deleting old a-mails, I came across one and thought that I would visit... and I had several messages that I hadn't known about... a question, actually, from Sue.

And the answer to that question is... I never though about that. Thanx a lot, Sue!

It's actually not a problem, though, since my bladder starts off empty anyway, and I cut down on fluids for a coupla hours before I go to bed.

I'll let you figger out the question, heh.

But while we're on the subject of website stuff... I appreciate all of you who've put yourselves on my Frapper™ Map! California is vastly over-represented, and I know that you Easterners and Southerners won't allow that situation to continue....

I didn't get up as early as I wanted to today, but it was still only about 09:00 or so. Piddled around and got a call from the hospital about noonish, just as I was getting ready to shower. I did have time to shower, though.

And my third patient weighed about 350 pounds, but she was somewhat mobile but she had to lean on me rather heavily... you know where I'm going with this, don't you?

A bit later I had a patient from the ER... said that he weighed 345, but I know he was over 400. The ER tech and I got him onto the table with difficulty, and I called for more help to get him back on the guerney.

But... getting him over got me. Not my lower back, but mid-thoracic... and I was using the proper body mechanics, he was just way too heavy for two people to move.

And, of course, it didn't start bothering me until later.

And I continued doing patients until after 18:00... the night tech does CTs, and she came in at 19:00, so I'm relatively safe for the night.

We had a nice line of thunderstorms come through earlier... some beautiful lightning that scared the cats witless... I was out in the shop when it hit, with the doors open, and Callie ran in and hid behind my legs.

I know, I know... scaring cats witless isn't all that hard, but it's funny. No, they don't start out with that much wit to begin with.

So anyway, I'm a-gonna take my sore back to bed, and hope that it's healed by the morning.
