Aimiably, cats
will kill anything smaller than them;
it's simply their way.

It's heating up here in middle America, as it always does this time of the year. We didn't turn on the AC today, but it was a close thing.

I did get up around 08:00, though, and the morning was nice. Worked for a while in the shop and re-hung a towel rack in the bathroom. And I trimmed some 2X4s so that I can hang some shelving in my room... the shelving is a headboard that I made for JD when he moved to Topeka from Wyoming many years ago. It's made out of 2X12s with mitered (very poorly, I'm afraid) corners and a dadoed center shelf. It'll be good for CDs and books so that I can get some of this crap off of my desktop.

Raisin caught a very small rabbit, probably about two weeks old, and took it into the house, after first passing through the shop with the poor thing chirping like a bird. Karen, of course, saved it, and then we got all of the cats into the house and turned it loose... but it's gonna die regardless. They always do, these small things that Karen saves from her cats.

And I spent time today reading the bible... yep, you heard me right. Genesis... interesting stuff that those people made up.

I normally re-read the book every ten years, but I think that it's been at least fifteen this time.

But no matter how many times I read it, I still can't get where these fundamentalists are coming from... it's obviously fantasy.

So I'm thinking that maybe a more mature reading is in order. But it's not light reading, especially the KJV that I've got. Mom gave it to me when I was baptized in Enid in '55-'58, something like that. The print might have been good enough for my eyes back then, but it sure isn't now, heh.

And tomorrow... is another Monday, I'm afraid.

And I'm still worried about my teeth, but now it isn't so much the fear of pain, but the fact that it's gonna cost me $5K to get them fixed. And I'm seriously thinking about getting them all pulled and going with false ones. Because this just isn't gonna end right here unless I do that.

And I really don't want to do that.

But $5K? I don't wanna do *that* either, dammit.
