Daily Nilknarf Haiku
The lowest of low
Seeking to reach higher, but
stimied by pure fact....

Cool day. We actually got to eat lunch!

We have averaged about 30 patients on the initial schedule, and today it was 19... which is as it should be. That gives us about 20 minutes per patient, which is just barely adequate....

I am becoming a bit too proud of my IV skills... I had four patients today tell me that they didn't even feel the needle. This is our of maybe six, heh. I tell them that if a guy does something for forty years, he damned well outta be good at it...

But I've only been inserting IVs for about five years, before that I always used butterfly sets, which don't work in our situation.....

Karen and Mom are going to Enid tomorrow, and getting back on Sunday, probable... I'm batching it for a few days...

I was the runner for the first five hours today, and the consequential tiredness is getting to me, heh.
