Dead tired....

I hit the snoozebar a coupla times before I could get up... I had decided that I should go in at 07:00, 'cause I couldn't remember if I should be late or early and by the time I remembered that I didn't know that last night it was too late to call my counterpart.

And I got to work about 06:15, thinking that I would go get the machine warmed up and the air-cals done and then go get some breakfast... and it almost worked out that way.

The problem was... by the time I got upstairs, they were out of their breakfast sandwiches. O'well, I had a bagel instead.

It was a pretty busy day, and I was the runner... didn't miss any veins today, I thought that I might be a bit rusty, but no.

But I did, I think, figger something out. The chair that we do our venipunctures in is just the exact wrong height for my back. It started tightening up about 14:00, in spite of all of the stretching that I could do standing up or sitting down. What I needed, of course, was drugs. Which I deliberately didn't take with me....

After all, if you shouldn't be using heavy equipment, you probably shouldn't be making decisions about exams or poking people with needles, heh.

Anyway, my co-workers seemed concerned, and I started thinking that I should really go home and get some drugs in me before my back seized up again, so that's what I did about 15:15.

Went on home and got the drugs and did some exercises, seemed to help. And Karen called about 14:45 or so, they were getting ready to board the plane. And she said that Bush had just left the airport... I'd just seen on the news that he'd spread some BS there and I hoped that it didn't mess up the schedule, and it didn't.

And after I talked to Karen I did something that I've never done before... I fell asleep in the recliner.

And luckily woke up in time to go pick up her and Kim at the airport. Eh, I thrive on luck, I do. It was a thunderstorm that woke me up, lotsa thunder but not much rain.

We did get a little rain last night, and a whole bunch more after about 08:30 or so, I heard. We sure need it.

And I need to get to sleep....
