And so, of course, last night was the night I had trouble sleeping. I klept tossing and turning and knocking my leads off, then the nurse would come in and fix it, then thirty minutes later I'd do it again. I finally got up at 06:30... I had been NPO since midnight, of course. And my belly was grumbling quite loudly, thinking that it should be fed, heh. And about 08:00 they came to get me, and I was in a wheelchair, when the cath lab people had requested that I be on a cart. As I was getting on the cart Dr. Katz, the cardiologist talked to me. Pretty soon they had me in the room and I said hi to the Medtronics tech and then bang! I was still in the room but it was 09:15, heh. And my left arm was hurting, and I had a new IV in my right hand. The tech told me that the original IV had infiltrated and I partially woke up... which, luckily, I don't remember. They stopped the procedure and put a new IV in and finished up. The doc talked to me afterwards... they couldn't reproduce the patterns that I was having before I started the new drug... and that was a good thing. Means that the medicine is working the way that it's supposed to at this point... my heart (with the sotalol) won't even let the pacer make it misfire. So he told me that I could go home after lunch... they always want to observe for at least three hours after sonscious sedation. So I went back upstairs and requested breakfast, which I got about 10:15 or so. It wasn't much, some scrambled eggs and a single sausage link, heh... they didn't want to ruin my lunch. Karen had taken Mom to the doc at 09:00 and then Karen had an appointment with the dentist, and they got there about 10:30 or so. JD was there by then, of course, and so Mom and Karen left and JD hung out with me while I got lunch and packed all my crap up. And then I punched the call light and told them that I was ready to go. And, in about a half-hour, we were out the door. Stopped by Walgreens to drop my new scripts off... then back home finally. After a while, JD and I decided to go over to the old house... I was planning to mostly supervise, of course. We took down what was left of the awning over the back deck, and I was pretty much exhausted by then, and Karen had come over too, so I took the car and went by Walgreens and then came on home. JD and Karen stayed and got a lot of outside work done over there... it has been a beautiful day, and I'd heard rumors that it had been a beautiful weekend. And I'm gonna get to bed shortly, even if the sun is still up. The missing entries will be posted tomorrow, including the tenth anniversary one. I'm too lazy to plug in the laptop tonight....
