Again, I got a good night's sleep... I did get up around 03:30, just after the storms rolled through, but I went right back to sleep until about 06:30 again. And it's been a pretty nice laid-back day... I've done a bunch of continuing education, about ten hours' worth today, and that's enough for one day. I forgot to mention, I watched the Big Lebwoski yesterday, and then I watched Reservoir dogs today. I hadn't remembered that I'd seen dogs before, but I watched it clear through anyway.... And I'd seen about the last half of the Big Lebowski, too... but I enjoyed all of it. Karen brought the paper up with her about noon, and we were sitting here reading it when about 13:00 I heard a whooshing sound... I looked out the window and saw...nothing. It was a complete white-out... I'm on the sixth floor, and I couldn't see the ground. Or across the street, either. The hailstones were about a half-inch in diameter, from what I could see, and they completely covered the ground. From here it looked like a snowstorm had hit. And it was over in about five minutes, Karen and I had gone to a window that looks west and watched it taper off... and the sun was shining, heh, for a coupla minutes before the hail quit. There was probably a bunch of wind before it hit and that was the whoosh that I heard. And there were reports of base-ball size hail north and east of here. I called JD shortly after, and he said that we didn't get any hail at the house, just wind and rain. Then karen left, and JD came by about 14:30 or so and we hung out for a coupla hours before I sent him away to get something to eat since he hadn't yet... then he was going to Emporia to see his friend Colin.... And I got fed right on time and about an hour later I was desperate for a chocolate malt, so I called Karen and she brought one over for me, and yes, it was good! I talked to brother Dan for a while today, we don't talk nearly as often as we should, dammit.... And I sent Karen home, she was getting bored and mentioned something about watching Nancy Grace, heh. I'm not really looking forward to tomorrow, but I'll be glad to have it over and done with, yes I will. It's amazing how tired I don't get when I don't work.... The wars are only ever over until the next time....
