ARCHIVES - 1996 to FOREVER

Firstly, I couldn't go to sleep... not an unusual thing.

But then when Karen came to bed and gave me a nice leg and back rub, I was drifting away, away....

And the phone rang.

There was a rather complicated case going on, and I did some phone support for the tech there... no biggie. Tucked back in and was almost asleep again when the phone rang again... same problem only a little further down the road.

I didn't even have my eyes closed when the phone rang again.... solved the newest problem and hung on the phone until the tech said it was all done.

By that time, of course, there was no way that I was going right back to sleep.

So it was 01:00 before I even tried to go back to sleep, and rounding on 03:00 when I last looked at the clock.

But I was up with no problem at 05:30, heh. Go figger.

And I was the guru of the scan room today... but we ran out of patients about 10:30, as far a the schedule went... didn't have another scheduled until 14:45 or something like that.

I let my supervisor know that there was some room there to work on her project, and so she took me up on it, went down about 13:00 or so and we worked until she was reminded that she needed to go to a meeting, and then she thought that it would be a good idea if I went to the meeting too... not exactly what I wanted to do, but I was in no position to say no, of course.

And the meeting was OK, but it is still 90 minutes gone out of my life....

And the lack of nicotine is still grabbing me frequently... I wonder what it'd be like without the patches? No, there would be nicotine in my life in that case....

So anyway, the morning standing was still enough to make my legs hurt, and then the meeting and working with MS Word exacerbated the not-smoking... and the lack of sleep from last night... it's been a tiring day, all in all, and I'm damned glad to be done with it..
