Daily Nilknarf Haiku
It's not the marking...
it's the cutting and killing
of the unwilling.

Not a bad day at work, again... but I was running the scan room today, and by noonish, my legs were killing me. As was my back, but that seems to be secondary.

And I didn't sleep well last night, kept having awful dreams that I can't remember, but enough to keep me waking up and looking at the damned clock.

Additionally, I'm getting yet another sinus infection... haven't called the doc yet, I'm hoping the green snot will get disgusted with itself and just go away... yeah, pretty stupid, but green snot is not all that smart, mostly.

We had a really light afternoon coming up, and we were finally fully-staffed again, and in addition we have a tech training for weekend nights with us, so we were five at 14:00... and I decided that yeah, it was time to leave. I got no objections, and so I left.

I had a coupla-three things to do, so I did one of them... went out to Home Depot to look for an attic door/stairway. Didn't find one, though... as I was looking at the band saws, the lights flickered, then went out for a second before they came back on. Suddenly there was no more help around, and since I was so damned tired I said t'hell with it and went on home.

And I forget what the other two things were... a basic lack of oxygen to the brain, I think....

Karen spent a coupla hours in the dentist chair today, and for a change, she having a lot of pain from it, poor girl. She's taken some pain pills and will most likely be out for the night.

And so, dear friends, will I... but without the pain pills.
