Daily Nilknarf Haiku
Eventually...
dust will be dust, everything
in between must die.

Eh, I stayed up until 02:00 last night working in the shop, mostly doing piddly stuff, like I finally mounted my grinder.

And that's pretty much how I spent the day, too.

But, with Andy's help, I did get a truck-load of stuff moved from the old house, including the radial arm saw that has been sitting on the back deck for ten years or so. It's gonna take me some time to clean that up, and then I want to make an over-arm pin router out of it... yeah, I read about that in a magazine at work, I think, five or ten years ago. I'll have to try to google it and see what I come up with.

I am pretty constantly amazed about how tired I can get while doing so very little work... you would think that after such a leisurely weekend, I would be rarin' to go... but it ain't working thataway.

I did get mostly finished with my marking gage, though. I used a good solid chunk of walnut (Karen's Dad) for the body and a stick of straight oak for the arm. Now all I have to do is find a brass wear strip for the tightening mechanism(I know that I have some... somewhere in the shop) so that I can put it all together.

I ordered my service anniversary gift today on-line... just got another watch. Thirty-five years last July....

Interestingly, they still had my old address... I know that it's been updated at work since I'm getting my paycheck stubs regularly... they must've used an old list.

I'm too lazy to write another haiku for today, so you've just gotta be happy with yesterday's...
