Long day at work... I do think that we set a record again today. Averaged 7.5 minutes per patient..... And I was on the console today, but we were short, so that doesn't mean that I got to sit on my ass all day, dammit.... Karen wanted to take me out for my birthday, but instead fixed me a nice dinner of roast beef and potatoes and carrots, which was very nice. I certainly did'nt feel like going out. I did get a good night's sleep last night, about 12 hours.... I didn't wake up until about 03:30 and convinced myself to go back to sleep.... About turning 60.... it sucks. Growing older, in general, after you're 40, sucks. You have to look at the statistics. I'm gonna work until I'm 65. And then I'll live until I'm about 72.3. I should die when I'm that old, in June 2017. That will give me about eleven years of leisure, heh. Most likely, though, I will die before that. Actuarily, withing the next five years, before I can get any of that "social security". they are counting on that. If I do live to be 129, they will be very unhappy. In short, today sucked. Tomorrow willl be better.... those of us who don't control our own futures must always believe so.
