ARCHIVES - 1996 to FOREVER

Of course, I have been fighting this for the last week, waiting for it to go away, and it hasn't. I just don't seem to have the physical resources to knock it out completely.

But I do feel better this afternoon, though I'm still pretty feverish-feeling. Can't find my thermometer, but it doesn't really make any difference what it is, I'll know when it's gone. Tylenol doesn't seem to be working that well....

And nilknarf.net is back on line, there was a step that I didn't take, changing the registration to point at the right nameservers; there's an easy way to do it, all you have to do is remember your user-name and password, heh. That I got in 1998.

After about 30 tries, I did figger it out... and wrote it down, too. Whether or not I'll be able to remember that I wrote it down... and where... the next time that I need it will be a trick.

We just had supper, Karen fixed some twice-baked potatos and a ground-beef patty and it was just what I needed, evidently... I'm feeling a lot better now.

But I'm still not looking forward to the weekend on call... from Saturday at 17:30 until Sunday at 14:30 there'll be nobody there to do CTs, so I need to get rested up for that. The regular weekend-night tech is off on Saturday, and none of the techs who cover call for me are available.

And I'll be going back to a no-smoking environment, should be interesting. I've decided that I won't smoke in the truck anymore, either, going to or from work. Hell, might as well make that all of the time, heh.

The smart thing to do would be to quit altogether, of course... and maybe I will be able to get my head around that finally, like JD has.

Speaking of whom, I talked to him briefly tonight, and he told me about some good things happening at work for him. I'm happy for him on that, and hopefully you will soon be hearing more about it either here or at jd.nilknarf.net... if that URL ever gets to working.
