Actually got something accomplished today...

Dan and I planed a whole buncha wood for making drawers.

And this probably needs some explaining... Dan decided to make the cabinets for his new house. And they're almost done, except for the drawers.

And he'd kinda hit a mental brick wall with the drawers... needed a little push. So I pushed, and we got started.

Planers make impressive piles of shavings....

But the main thing that we got done... was to figger out the dovetail jig. But we got 'er figgered, we did.

Pretty soon, about the time we were trying to think of an excuse to stop working, the boys called, they were on their way back from DC.

So we picked them up at the park and ride place... Tyler was sunburnt pretty bad, face and head... they had enjoyed the city and the Mall, as I knew that they would.

And the evening was again filled with good conversation and excellent food.

And Tyler found a brown recluse spider. Got some pictures of it, and we looked it up on the web, of course. And he gently killed it.

And it was definitely bedtime... speaking of which... I have been sleeping exceptionally well up here. Don't know what that's about, but I love it.

I've even taken naps a coupla days and still slept the night.

Just plain weird, heh.

O'yeah, I forgot to mention... we went to the bay to watch the moon rise over the water. 20:44, it was supposed to do its' thing. We watched and waited, and waited and watched... finally Tyler spotted it... about 45° south of where we thought it would be, and mostly obscured by the fog/mist/smog/whatever. And it was up about two diameters... we felt like fools. Waiting for it to rise in the north, heh.
