Amazingly, I got up more or less on time today... after I realized that I had to go in at 08:00 and not 07:00. The rest of the week is 07:00, though. And it was a beautiful day... and my nose was to the grindstone. Got there early, clocked in early, and then started running... and that slowed down about 16:00. I left when opportunity presented, about 16:15. My eight hours was up at 15:45, 'cause it was a no-lunch day. I got home and asked Karen if she'd called Debbie about mailing the power supply for the camera. Well, she'd forgotten about it. And about ten minutes later, there was a knock on the door... Debbie, it was, with the power supply! She'd decided to bring her MIL home early, and brought her to Topeka. And, happily, seen the PS and figgered out whose it was. She and Karen were then off to look at Matts' house while I made a CD of the pix tat I took of Jeffs' recital. Then I was off to an oncology nurses meeting at a chinese sit-down place. And the meeting was interesting... and the food was free. I'm really just in it for the free food and the chance to mingle with the nurses, of course. The sponsor was a drug company and the theme was pain management... stuff that was out of my field and *way* over my head again. But I do believe that exposure to new ideas is a good thing, even if it's incompletely understood. And it's humbling, to know that there are things that I will never understand, and a great relief to know that... I don't have to. Just knowing that they're out there is enough for me. And now I'm gonna try to talk Karen into a rub and then go to sleep... it might be a problem prying her away from the MJ news on the tube....
