ARCHIVES - 1996 to FOREVER

Heh, another lazy Saturday for me. Got up late, well-rested... well-rested is a nice feeling, and I basked in it all day.

This afternoon Patrick and Brian came over and started working on the back yard, and they got a lot of stuff done. They had been offered money to do it, so they were motivated.

Brian unfortunately cut the extension cord with the hedge clippers... I've never done that, although I've seen it done.

They will be back tomorrow to get more stuff done. Karen had called a handyman who was going to do it for about twice what we'll give to the boys... but, after all, they're using my tools and eating my food and drinking my pop.

Karen ordered us a pizza tonight, and had some trouble with the lady on the phone. She picked the pizza up and brought it home, and then found out that it was wrong.

She had told the girl on the phone three times, "thin & Crispy" and the girl confirmed that the third time. And still got it wrong.

She was furious, and went back to the pizza hut place... and they couldn't help her, it was the problem with the phone center in Joplin, Mo.

So Karen got on the phone... the girl who took her order probably got fired, when Karen talked to the manager, she knew immediately who it was... her supervisor.

She gave us a $20 credit towards the next order.

And I ate my fill of a free pizza... which wasn't much, I'm finding that I'm cutting my meal sizes down... I usta eat a half of a large, now I only eat a quarter... and I'm just as happy. And I'm not, by anyone's measure, malnourished.

I was wanting to sit down and watch a movie with Karen, but she wasn't interested in anything tht I was interested in... so we kinda went our separate ways, as usual... me on the computer, her watching sob stories or crime stories.

Luckily for us, TV- watching compatibility isn't a deal-breaker for a happy marriage.
