Daily Nilknarf Haiku

The rain we need hangs
precipitously on the
furthest horizon.

Heh, I'm recycling haikus now....

I got curious and wondered when I started this haiku craziness... it was 30 JAN 2004. Geez, it seems longer ago than that, but no... Today's haiku was in an entry sometime earlier in January, before I started putting them in a box.

I heard from Tyler today... he liked yesterday's haiku! I seldom hear from him, darn it. I guess that I'll just have to write more stuff that he likes? OK, I'll try to do that.

It's been a pretty nice day. Perfect weather, and I got out Mom's electric lawn-mower and did a bit this morning... and that little bit absolutely exhausted me. I thought that I'd wait about an hour and do some more and go on like that for the rest of the day... but then Karen said that Patrick would do the rest.

Which reminds me... I wonder if he put the mower up? I'll bet that he didn't, dammit, and now I'll have to do it in the dark.

The rest of the day... I just frittered away completely. Working on computers, mostly. Having problems with the music one, I can't quite figger it out.

And problems with soulseek, too... and the problems are probably related, but I can't figger out how they could be. There's a lot of stuff that I don't know about computers, after all....

The sore throat is still with me, and I'm running a little bit hot, but nothing major. I do think that I'm just getting a cold.

Karen is gonna be gone for a week starting next Wednesday... I'm gonna be batchin' it. I'm lookin' forward to it in a way, and dreading it in another....

And next week is my early week, so I'd better get my butt to sleep. Got up a little bit late today, 09:00, but I think that I can go right to sleep now.

Heh. Famous last words....

"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy: that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness."

-- John Kenneth Galbraith
