Daily Nilknarf Haiku

Salvation is not
a possibility, but
our brains don't know that....

Yeah, I said I was gonna get to bed early, but I didn't. I did get up OK, though, and it had rained some during the night, but not much.

I was on the console today, but we're a tech short, so the old legs got a work-out anyway....

And we were pretty busy most of the day.

There are still problems with Mom's prescriptions, dammit. I asked the pharmacist to change them all over to her Topeka doctor, but he didn't... but he told me to my face that he did, and I believed him. Maybe I should give him the benefit of the doubt? Nah... they called the Enid doc for the last two prescriptions, I'll bet that he's getting tired of getting these calls about someone whose records he's already shipped off....

Karen will call the doc here tomorrow and hopefully get everything straightened out...

I missed the first *real* thunderstorm to hit Topeka this year... down in the basement, can't hear or see a damned thing. When I got off at 16:30, there were hailstones on the ground... pea-sized, but still... and they said that there was nice wind, too, dammit.

Tonight, tonight... I will DL turboTax, and get started on taxes tomorrow. Damn, I don't know why I waited so long... I never, *never* do that with taxes!

The not-drinking is going well, though, but it was pretty rough today, thinking about getting off and going by to get a bottle.... NoNoNo, Doug, Don't Do That!

And I didn't, of course... but it's always there, y'know? Always there.
