Pretty nice day here. I went on call at 07:00, but didn't get called until about 16:45, right after the Saturday tech got off. Did about three exams then came home, expecting to get called again... but I didn't. But: the project of the day, the waterbed mattress replacement, went fairly well. Several problems ensued, most notably the problem with the hose leaking at the spigot. Luckily, I had a good replacement end on a nearby piece of hose, so I saved a trip to the hardware store. I filled the bed up partly with hot water, then did the last third with cold... hoping that it would be OK to sleep on tonight. It's still a little cool, but probably OK. Along with the mattress, I got a coupla vibrators for underneath the mattress that work wonderfully well. Gonna be nice! We also got new sheets and mattress pad and padded side rails... it's almost like having a brand-new bed. The frame is about 26 years old now... this is the third time that I've replaced the mattress. Have I mentioned that I love my water bed? Yes, I do.... Nothing else of interest to talk about today, so I'll just stop here then. Or now. Now, I meant.
