Six days until spring... but that's just numbers, y'know? Spring will get here when it feels like it. Sixteen days until the ninth journallversary. Thirty-one days until taxes are due. Time, time, time... dammitallanyway! How many more days before I retire? How many more days before I die? The former is easy to handle... six years - ten days. 365*6+2(leap years)-10. 2182. Two thousand one hundred and eighty-two. That will be on 06 March 2011. And the latter... actuarially, I should live to 77 years old. Shit, that's only eighteen years! Only twelve years of living the life of (O'!)Riley! And, of course, there's those pesky health problems... the ones that will probably kill me before I retire. O'well. 'Nuff of that. Busy day.. I got up pretty much on time, despite getting to bed late last night. Lotsa work, and we're still a tech short. We will be at full strength Thursday and Friday, then short again for another two weeks. Then about that time, I get to take a few days off when brother Dan is in town visiting... I'm really looking forward to that! Things were hectic today... I'd sent Karen out to Sams to get some popcorn... I'd been tasked to get popcorn for a little celebration tomorrow, and I'd seen the big bags at Sams.. but alas! They don't carry them any more. Karen finally found some... at Topsys, the popcorn place. Of course. And expensive, yes it was. I also did some photoshop work for the same celebration, putting Arhnold in a picture with the department supervisors... that was kinda fun. While Karen and I were at the mall, waiting for the popcorn, we decided to see if there was anything good to eat, and we did the chinese thing... excellent stuff, a good meal for $5.50 each. Don't remember the name of the place, but that's insignificant. Speaking of insignificant... this whole journal is, I guess... except to me and my regular readers. Hey, guys, I love you! Yes I do, come back and visit... every day! And bring your friends and neighbors, heh! And it's after 22:00, and I vowed to myself that I would be in bed by 22:00... and I ain't yet there. Five minutes I will be, though...
underneath the leaves; worms in
ecstasy in fresh dirt.
