I got up on time, got to work on time and did a good day's work. It was busy, off and on, but mostly just steady. Our current supervisor pares the schedule down when someone's gone if she can't send someone over to cover, and I really like that.... When I got home, JD and I did a little more work in the basement and then his friend Mike came over and we just mostly visited. Mike is a really nice guy... as is his brother Colin, whose wedding Karen and I attended in Yates Center more than a year ago. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd find a link.... Matt and Brian also came over, and we had various musical combinations... Matt drums, and Brian plays a little guitar and a little drum... Mike is a guitar player, and so is JD, of course, and JD plays a little keyboard too. Possibility of some snow tonight, but I don't think so... and then beautiful weather again by the weekend. Now *that's* the way weather is supposed to work! Well, now my recording studio is all set up, programs all work with the equipment... JD helped me fix my main one, I had the buffer set incorrectly... I need to start doing some recording. And some song writing, too, come to think of it. I've been feeling pretty good lately (fingers automatically {stupidstitiously} crossed as I thought that thought...) my legs aren't killing me and that is such a joy! Of course, they're still tired after a day as the runner, but still.... And yes, it's getting late and yes, I forgot to change the date-stamp yesterday and almost forgot it tonight.... I mentioned Sunday that JD was exactly as old as I was the day that he was born, but I forgot to mention the full meaning of that... Sunday I was exactly twice as old as he was. Kinda cool. Some way or another, I need to figger out when I'll be twice as old as Tyler. Anybody got a formula for that?
the measure of the man or
the tree or the dirt.
