The snow, sweet, innocent Yeah, doesn't qualify as a true haiku, but I like it... call it just a poem if it makes you feel better. So, when did this damned cold start? Last Thursday, I think it was. Then it should be about over... two more days. I did get a good sleep last night, but it was too short. I'm planning to get another tonight, and the night after that, and the night after that.... Not too bad at work today, the snow helped keep some people away. The slots were filled readily, however, 'cause our competing hospital's scanner was down, so we did a few of their patients too. And the ER was up on us from mid-morning on, slick roads, stupid people driving and wrecking.... O'yeah, the snow. It's been snowing since noon, an inch an hour, with just a few short breaks. I called the Mazda dealership today, and I was going to take the truck in, but since we're getting so much snow, I figgered that I can drive it to work tomorrow anyway. Then I'll take it in after work tomorrow to have them look at it. However, I talked to a guy in the smoking room today, he said that it was most likely just a frozen solenoid, which makes sense... so I just might wait until it thaws out here. Mom is gone... and I am sad about that. Karen took her and the rest of the stuff out of the house over to Mom's apartment today, so she is almost completely moved in. She and Karen spend some time unpacking, and then Karen had to leave to pick up the grandkids and me. And as we were going home after Karen picked me up, I kinda decided to wait... I'll give her another day to get settled. So I called her while we were driving past her apartment building, asked her which cat she wanted me to bring over... And she didn't want any of them! I was amazed, as was Karen. O'well. I'm tard, and must to bed now. I was in the scan rooms today, and although it's much fun, it's also much work, and very tiring.
