Solitude never JD and I got a lot accomplished today, but our goal was not realized. It started off as a quest to find the foot control for the Peavy head, and it ended up as a pretty good basement cleaning and organizing. Never did find the footswitch, though. Anyways, there is now room to move around in the basement, and the studio is set up pretty well. One of the keyboards is hooked up to the amp and the 2-12 cabinet, which is stuck on the dirty channel; the footswitch is needed to change it to the clean channel, though. So it's gonna be the dirty channel until it can be found, or maybe until I get a schematic and a paper clip.... We also took up a rug that's been down there for a while and took it out onto the front deck, where JD cleaned it really good. It's going to Enid with us tomorrow, it's just the perfect size to fit on Mom's back porch. Then JD and I went over to Kims' to get her internet going, and we did. I had to take the card out of Lacees' computer and put it in Kims', because hers kept resetting with the USB port one installed; damfino why.... While we were over there, JD's friend Mike came over with Karen... he'd seen JDs truck parked in the drive. JD was kinda avoiding him, simply a matter of time more than anything else. JD drove out to Shawnee County lake tonight to watch the sunset from there... I think that he needed some solitude, and that place holds many fond memories for him. His supper is waiting for him here, I forgot to tell Karen that he was gone, dammit... he'll appreciate it when he gets here, though. We're planning on leaving rather early tomorrow morning, get up around 07:00 and be outta here by 08:00, that should put us into Enid arouynd noon or 13:00. Looking forward to seeing Mom, of course. I kinda tried to get her to come up here for a week or so, but she diodn't really want to, and I certainly didn't want to pressure her... especially since that's never worked in the past anyway! And I've really neglected Karen this last week, but I'll make it up to her soon. She knows how much I enjoy JDs' visits, and she's not at all resentful about it. And I gotta go do my pills for the next week. There won't be an entry here tomorrow, then, but I'll have it up on Sunday... JD will be leaving realtively early from Enid heading south, and I'll be leaving a little bit later going north, but not too much later.
