Daily Nilknarf Haiku

Depressing stagnant air...
Oppressive heat, no breezes;
Kansas in summer.

And the news of the day... the heat index was 107°F when I walked out of the hospital at 15:30 today. That's too much.

Of course, the heat doesn't really affect me, I'm almost always in AC anyway, except when I'm in the truck.

What was really bad about today was the fact that I got three hours of sleep.

Just couldn't get to sleep. Looked last at the clock at 03:00, and I got up at 06:00... Karen woke me up, she'd had enough of the alarm, I guess. But I don't remember hitting the snoozebar at all, and I have been known to just sleep with the alarm blaring in my ear for an hour when I'm really zonked.

So tonight will be an early night, you betcha.

Karen was having trouble sleeping last night too, and not just 'cause I was keeping her awake, either.

Anyways, work was kinda confusing today, we had the weekend guy as an extra, and it was hard figgering out what to do with him. But then the PT tech called in, so he got that slot.

And the tech that was gone last week on vacation injured himself, twisted shoulder and maybe some cracked ribs. We might have to curtail his time off if he's gonna do stuff like that, heh.

And JD will be visiting the last week of July! I'm looking forward to that, and I'm hoping that Tyler can make it up too, but that seems to be pretty iffy at the moment.

And I about halfway fixed the internet problem by re-booting everything, and I mean *everything*, including the toilet. Well, not really the toilet....

And speaking of things like that... I hate cats. Cats that crap in my room, specifically. And since I don't know which one or ones it is, I will just hate them all.

Anyhoo, I'm done with this day now.
