wisdom is malarky; Yeah, wisdom ain't all it's cracked up to be. With all of the wisdom in the world and a dollar, you can get a cuppa coffee. I was asleep by 21:00 last night, slept like a baby... woke up and cried every two hours. But seriously, folks.... It was a restful night, and I needed it to face this day. Started off OK, but it started getting bad about 10:00. And it just continued getting worse. One of the FT techs was off at 11:00, which is bad, 'cause the boss doesn't make allowances for half-days for some stupid reason. Not that allowances would have made a bit of difference today, everyone wanted to get their stuff done *NOW* before they took off on their precious three-day weekend. No sarcasm there, neither jealosy. Ah, who am I tryin' to kid? Anyway, I worked over two hours, and the other late guy worked over a half-hour, but it was all done but one patient when we left. And I've been on call now about an hour, and no calls yet. I might just take a big chance and go to bed, then. Rained all day here off and on, but we only got about an inch or so. East of here, Lawrence and vicinity, got 3-5 inches as of noon, with rain still coming down. Karen had a good time at the ball game last night, she says that it was the best fireworks she'd ever seen. The Royals lost, as usual. And my keyboard skills are still in a klutz; the fingers are clumsy and can't even hit the wrong keys straight. I think that I will take tomorrow and re-arrange my "studio" and go over some more old music books, see if I can glean a few new songs. I need some kinda *oomph!* to get me goin' again.
There ain't no damn such a thing
just hang in and live.
