Hatchelings all, we Didn't get much sleep last night, what with Karen snoring and three cats sharing the bed. Both Karen and I had a cat on each side of us... tonight the door will be closed and the cats will be somewhere else probably just as comfortable. Kim took Karen out for her birthday tonight, and I tagged along. We went to the Cracker Barrel and I was happy with my meal but neither Karen not Kim were. After that we went to Sams' and I got Karen her birthday present, a portable CD player, the sports one that plays MP3s and doesn't skip when you're walking with it. Plus 80 hours on two AAs. While we were out there, I spied some full-sized keyboards. And fell in love with one of them, a Yamaha. Perfect feel, standard number of keys and a beautiful sound. I think that I know where my OT for the 4th of July is going. I was going to be on call on Sunday and Monday, and then the next weekend was mine. I persuaded the tech who was scheduled to be on Friday and Saturday to switch weekends with me so that I wouldn't have to do two in a row and she was happy with that. I'm not really happy with having to work four in a row like that, but it *is* my holiday, and I won't work another for quite a while. Work was OK, another tech and I went to get our CPR renewed, that was supposed to be three hours but we got it done in 90 minutes, door to door. Won't have to do that again for two years now. And I also got my annual TB today, I'll get it read Thursday. I'm always negative, but this time it seems to be puffing up pretty good, dammit. It'll probably be OK by Thursday, though. And now I have to go play some music, the keyboard at Sams' just tickled my thirst tonight. And it's already past my bedtime.
