14:10

First things first... Happy Birthday, Karen!

Wrapping things up here in Wichita... Karen and Chuck have gone over to see Betty again and I'm here with Chad and the O'flynns at their house.

We got up awfully late this morning, about 10:30 or so, and the brunch started at 11:00... good thing that it was in the hotel. We were the last ones to arrive, but just by a few minutes. Nice buffet, but I only went through the line once. Trying to be good, y'know..

But it was pretty much unbearably hot in the room that we were sitting in, enough to make it a less-than-enjoyable experience.

Chris and his wife Cat and Preston were the first to leave and I didn't get to say goodby to them, I was clearing our room out when they left, but I'll forgive them. They had a long drive to look forward to.

And then all of the Topeka kids left, and Chuck and Judy and Karen and I and Chad went back over to the O'Flynns'. Karen and Chucks' visit with Betty went well, they said, and they kept it pretty brief.

Kim had talked to Steve in Topeka earlier, and he said that it was flooding there. Dammit, all of the good weather happens there when we're gone, it seems like!

Chad and Chuck and Judy were all flying out, so we soon said our goodbyes and headed out. Not much bad weather on the way, just some little edges of the big storms that had passed earlier.

I had boughten a CD Friday, so Karen was gonna play it... but no, the wrong CD was in the case! I'd given the CD to Jeff to copy, and he'd put the wrong CD back, is all I can figger... it was a good CD, though, Louis Armstrong or someone like that.

And the cats were glad to see us... yeah, right. Brian and Patrick were there when we got home, and they'd already fed them.

And I'm too pooped to write much more tonight, or to put together the last few days' worth of entries, it'll wait until tomorrow.

And besides, I haven't played any music for four long days, gotta go do that some before I sleep.
