Daily Nilknarf Haiku

Stagnant water will
breed mosquitoes, but stagnant
minds? Vulnerable.

Well, I had plenty of time to sleep last night, if I could've slept. But no, the sleep fairies were not good to me. T'hell with them there fairies, then.

Vonage. PoIP. Made the switch today. Couldn't retain the same number, though, or even the same area code, dammit. When we get it installed I'll send notices to everyone that needs to know it. If you think that I've left you off of the list by accident, well, then, I probably have. So let me know and I'll give it to you.

We've been using Vartec for a coupla years now, and their billing system is just as screwed up as every other telco in the world. The service has been OK, but everything else? Pffftttt.

I got to sleep finally about 04:30, and I didn't get called until about 10:00, so that was good. Went in for about two hours, then I didn't get called again until 21:00. Went in to do an inpatient, then I did three other patients too. Right now there's a night tech on who can do the simple stuff, so I probably won't get called in until 08:00 at the earliest tomorrow.

Man, I wisht I wouldn't *say* shit like that! Will I never learn?

But I'm not superstitious, not at all. Quinky-dinks, that's all. It's just odd that when I say shit like that, bad things happen to me.

Well, not really to *me*, they happen to other people, I just have to deal with the consequences..

So I should *really* feel guilty, heh. But no, people will go out and hurt themselves and other people regardless of what I say or do. I do not, yet anyways, control the world.

I worked on the mower today for about an hour and gave up on it. Then Matt came over and worked on it at about the time that I had to leave. When I came home, about three-fourths of the lawn was mowed... and the mower was dead in the water again. I'll screw around with it again tomorrow, see what happens. Gotta be a loose wire or a short, the battery runs down really fast, and it shouldn't.

23:15...
Day-um, I let the time get away from me there... I was downstairs playing on the keyboard for a lot longer than I thought I was. So, I'll wrap this up and put it under the tree.
