Internal Wisdom; This is my three-thousandth entry here. I did go to bed last night, and slept a good sleep. Sometime in the night, though, I had a nightmare, and I bit my tongue; tongue-bites are very painful, and they will wake you up. And I had not set the clock right from the morning before... so I got up an hour earlier than I had thought. So I had to piddle around until it was time to go. It was raining when I woke up, and continued off and on most of the morning. And I had stupidly left the window rolled down in the truck, so I had to get a few towels so that I could get to work un-sodden. Work was OK, I was the runner today, and I ran, but not too fast. We seem to be in an unusual down pattern, not many add-ons. When we have only the schedule, it's really nice, we actually have time to do the work right. Back to the opening sentence: three thousand. I consider myself a pioneer in online journalling, and there are no close competitors. Yeah, there are people journalling who have been around longer, but are they daily writers? Nope, they're not. Three thousand. Eight-plus years. My life online has been an easy one. I write, and people read... sometimes. I recently passed the 50,000 mark with my extreme tracker. 50,153 people have visited this site. I am really amazed. All amazement aside, I'm still quite happy to be here, and to have anybody reading. I am truly humbled (well, not really) to have such a hit list. Many of my regulars, well, they have journals of their own, and I enjoy reading their words. I could name them, but they're on my links list. Blogs? No, I don't do blogs. Sorry, but they don't have a committment. Just when things get interesting, they quit writing. I like continuity, I provide continuity, and I demand continuity. The only real excuse for non-continuation is death, and that's the only way this particular journal will end. I hope to see at least entry #20,000. Mundanities: Karen is in KC with Lacee and her friend Emilie. They were only going to stay for a day, but they haven't had enough fun yet, I guess, so they've extended it another day. I hope that they get their fill of fun.... And I'm on call starting tomorrow evening. Our evening tech is off, so not only will tomorrow afternoon be short, I'll probably stay over until at least 21:00 doing ER patients. Should be an exciting weekend, and very profitable. Well, it's getting along towards 20:00, bedtime for bonzo here. I've got a lot more to say, of course, but it's gonna need to wait until tomorrow, if not sometime way in the future.
