Tears water the many graves I can't really think about the people who died to preserve our freedom without thinking of those who would crush it. And no, I'm not talking about foreigners. I got called last night immediately after posting the entry, and I was back and forth until about 02:45. Once I was about half-way home when the pager went off, so I called on the cell and turned around and went back. And then the phone didn't ring until about 08:45 this morning. I had to go in to do an abdomen/pelvis on an inpatient. While I was gathering my strength to get up, the phone rang again, and Karen answered it. It was the hospital again, the exam had been cancelled... by the radiologist, who declared it *not* an emergency. Cool. I went back to sleep. Some of the rads are that way, but most of them aren't. And I slept until probably 10:30 or so. Goofed around on the web and playing music until, finally, I got called in for a fer-sure patient at 13:00. I was back and forth several times, finally getting home for a longer spell about 17:45, and I've been here ever since. Hard to figger out, it's been a beautiful day, people should be out hurting themselves, right? We got some bad news from Matt yesterday, he and Brian had gone to silver dollar city, and he'd lost his brand-new camera and his cell phone. But there was good news today, someone had found them and called one of his girl friends who was on the phone speed-dial and they'll be sending them back to him. It's nice to know that there are still honest people around. No interesting cases today, just mostly routine medical stuff. Nice people, though. Speaking of nice people...Denver Doug lost his son today, and I am very sad for him and his family.
