Sunsets of amber
visions trapped in our minds
Markers in our lives.

Insomnia is such a pain. Insomnia, when it's caused by gross stupidity, is even more of a pain.

I was sure, yesterday, that I had everything packed. Hell, I even remembered getting the C-PAP ready. But I didn't. I was remembering *last* weekend, or some earlier time.

Additionally, I drank a coupla diet cokes at the reception. Not caffeine-free diet cokes. Dammitallanyway. I couldn't get to sleep, in fact I didn't even go to bed until 02:00 or something like that. And then I didn't sleep worth a damn, and I was up at 07:30.

Beautiful but windy weather. In fact, as we were coming home, we drove down 29th street, and at the west side of 29th street, the big Conoco (or whatever they changed their name to) sign had fallen down, crushing a car. Don't know if anyone was hurt or not, but it only got the back side of the car that we saw.

Came home and started working on the fence on the back deck, taking it down, and I took the slide down from the play-whatever that I built ten years ago. I noticed that the electrical cord was cut on the vacuum that I use to clean out the hot tub. And then I noticed that the hose had been whacked in two.

Come to find out, according to Patrick, Brian had the axe out last week.

I think that he will be more closely supervised from now on, to say the least. I'm gonna have a long talk with him and with Matt. Or maybe a short talk.

I've gotta bring in cookies for work tomorrow, the APC committee is doing a fun day, simply because we really can't do much else. I really hate being on committees to improve morale when the administration seems to be doing so much to thwart every move.

Anyhoo, I got about two hours of sleep total last night, and I think that I'm gonna be in bed shortly, even though it is still pretty early. And Lisa's wedding pictures probably won't get up for several days, so don't go looking for them just yet, OK?

Thanx for being here!
