The mess on the desk Well, maybe I'm just changing my attitude about work. Here I thought that I was enthusiastic about it, at least until the alarm went off at 05:30. I got to work around 07:00, although I wasn't supposed to be there until 08:00. Got caught up on my work email before I clocked in. And work was... work. I kinda hit a brick wall after lunch, but I did manage to make it through the rest of the day. And when I came home I found... four guys doing the painting that I had told Karen that I was going to do three years ago. Karen had also hired them to do the deck, it was in sad shape surface-wise. It really looks nice, it does. What else? Geez, I'm at a loss for words tonight. Lessee... tard, yup, check. *Way* behind on email and on journal-reading, yup, check. Behind on everything else in my life, yup, check. O'yeah, but I'm getting the missing entries done before I finish this, and they will start right here! O'yeah, and for your viewing pleasure today,
Will not automagically disappear.
Bereft, I observe.
(click for a bigger picture) I have a chest x-ray of me after the defibrillator/pacemaker implantation. The little machine itself is in the upper right sector of this picture, which is my left side. Orientation is as if I were facing you. You can see the long wire going into the tip of my right ventricle and the shorter wire in in my right atrium. The thicker parts of the wires? That's the defibrillator part, and if I need it, current will be applied across those portions of the leads.
