Slivered moon setting I stayed up really late last night, like 02:00, just didn't want to go to sleep. I did sleep well, though, didn't make any mistakes at all. I have been, however, having unsettling dreams lately. Don't remember the dreams, just that they make me uncomfortable. Got up at 09:30 or so and almost everyone got up about then... Tyler is sleeping on the couch, of course, so he really didn't have much of a choice. Had a nice breakfast, then Karen and Annette went out shopping, and Tyler went off with Larry, so JD and I went out looking for guitars and a MIDI cable and stuff like that. We also picked up a can of air (compressed, five bucks a can? I didn't think of that, and that's why I'm not rich, heh) and some wipes for the TV and computer screens. JD and Tyler wanted to get me a guitar for my birthday, which is a really cool idea, but I really have no idea about what I might want. Well, what I really want to do is build one. In my own shop. Which needs to get built first, of course. They're good boys, and I love 'em so much! Anyway, we came back and hooked the MIDI up to the keyboard and spent most of the afternoon screwing around trying to get it to work. Eventually Tyler's friend Chris showed up and the boys all went upstairs and eureka! I got it to work. So now I'm almost 100 percent set up to record some songs, just need to plug a mike in, and spend about 80 hours learning software. The ladies got home from shopping and we decided to go out to Outback and eat. JD had been feeling kinda punk, and after we ordered JD started feeling really badly, mostly weak and light-headed and very sleepy. About the time the meal was served, we decided to take him home. I helped him out to the car and the ladies sacked up the food and we came on home and put hime to bed. Annette tried calling Mike, JD's friend from Lawrence who was coming over tonight, but we were too late to stop him. JD is feeling better now, at least he's up and about, I hope that whatever it was, it's gone now. O'yeah, we got a bloomin' onion at outback, we'd never done that before. Pretty tasty, but loaded with carbs, I'm sure. I didn't over-eat, anyway. I'd gotten a burger, and I was only able to eat half of it, the other half will be good tomorrow. I'm *way* behind on e-mail, don't worry, I'll get to it eventually. And way behind on journals, too. This last two weeks it's been difficult to keep up with anything. It seems that the shoulder/arm is slowly healing, it seems that it's longer every day before it starts hurting. Of course, I'm supposed to be wearing the sling, but I generally don't, it makes it way too hard to do stuff. And stuff, as always, needs to be done.
Plunging into the abyss
Grinning and gleeful.
