Daily Nilknarf Haiku

Twilight and moonshine
Expectations and disappointments
Careless whims will decay.

Cara wrote me yesterday (or the day before?) and gave me the poem that the questionable haiku came from, but I don't have access to that e-mail right now, dammit, it's on the machine that isn't working. Maybe tomorrow....

Heh, yesterday I had to use an older machine to write my entry on, and it still had February's yesterday and older links on it, sorry... and thanx to all of you who wrote to tell me about it! That helps to keep me on my toes.

I actually got a good sleep last night, kinda surprised myself. The few times that I was uncomfortable (read:in pain) I kinda shrugged it off and went back to sleep with no problem.

I still got up pretty early, about 09:00, and just kinda played with computers and music. I called JD's phone about 11:30, they were just getting started from Norman or somewhere near there.

So... I spent more time on the computers, I finally got the new machine working, but I had to use the HD that I copied last night and then reload it with W2K, since WXP just completely crapped out.

O'yeah, today is Lacee's birthday! Happy birthday, Lacee!

And tomorrow is Matt's birthday! Happy birthday, Matt! Matt has also stopped smoking, I'm proud of him for that.

Anyway, JD and Tyler and Annette got here about 17:00 or so, and we sat around for a while, then went to the chinese buffet for supper, and it was good, as usual, that's why I keep going back out there.

And tonight we've just been sitting around catching up and playing music. Tyler's friend Larry came over, I had met him last October at Tyler's on his birthday. He reads this journal occasionally, Hi Larry! He let Tyler know of a party, so Tyler's gone for the night, over to Lawrence. Larry seems like a really nice guy.

I got a really nice card from the people at work today, with about a hundred signatures on it, that was really nice.

And I'm not really doing anything but enjoying the kids, and that's what I'll be doing for the next few days!

Thanx for being here!
