Bottle of whisky Pretty calm day. I forgot to mention that last night Patrick went to the ER, he was feeling badly, and he said that his heart was skipping beats and that he was dizzy. Too much caffeine, heh. They did a chest x-ray and an EKG and watched him for a while and sent him home. He'll get outfitted with a holter monitor on Monday, with the expectation that, if he eschews caffeine, it will be normal. Scared him a bunch, anyway. I slept until 10:00 today, but Karen had to get up at 08:00, she'd told Andy that she'd watch Drew until 14:00 or so. We were planning to go see Jody tonight, but Karen had promised Brian and Patrick that they could spend the night and then she forgot about it; fortunately, Jody's playing tomorrow night too, so we can still get some dancing in this weekend maybe. Karen thought that we could still go tonight, but I though not. Teenaged boys should *not* be left alone, at least not in my house. However, I was not lacking in ways to amuse myself. I found a stash of songs that I'd downloaded, lyrics and chords, so I now have a lot more material to play on the keyboard. The boys came down while I was playing and wanted me to teach them something, so I showed them how to do three chords on the guitar. That didn't hold their interest very well, though, fifteen minutes later they were upstairs watching TV again. No news on the heart side today, which is good news. I have really been trying to not think about it, and I've done pretty well with that today. And now it's 23:44, definitely time for me to be in bed.
Solace, forgetfullness, peace
The price is too much.
