Daily Nilknarf Haiku

Evening notes on a
piano of sorts brings me
pleasure and yearning.

Really laid-back day. Got up at 09:00 or so, and then did nothing all day long.

No chest pain, of course. I'll go to work in the morning, and I might go for a coupla hours on Tuesday before my cath. I'm on call tomorrow night, but I don't expect to get any work out of that.

And then next weekend I'm on call, I hope that works out.

I'm planning on the cath being a balloon job, I really am, and not a crack-the-old-chest type of job.

I am, however, psychologically prepared for the worst, of course. I am my mother's child, after all.

Even at that, though, I should be out of the hospital in about three days, and back to work in a week or so. After all, I'm pretty healthy, and not in too bad a shape, all things considered. We just won't go into what all needs to be considered, heh.

I've completely lost the guitar calluses on my left hand, and I know that my poor guitar is hurt from all of this. But she sat, unused, with cobwebs, no less, in the basement for five years or so, so she's just getting a little vacation.

But I am just having so much fun on the keyboard! I just can't stop, it seems. But I need to get some more songs, some more music. The songs that I'm learning how to play are songs that I really love, but I love a bunch more that I have no idea how to play. And no, I really can't do it by ear, I miss about half of the notes due to old ears and multiple infections.

I just went to eBay, and they have lots of fake books, I will have to look again after payday, heh.

Speaking of eBay, I bought a new MB and processor for the old machine, got an AMD 3100+, saw some really good reviews on it. That was my birthday present to me. It should get here this week, I hope. I've done business with this guy before, and he's pretty fast on the turnaround.

I'm gonna go play some more, then go to bed so I can work tomorrow.

Thanx for being here!
