Daily Nilknarf Haiku

Slowly, bodies break
Systems fail, old fears awake;
Eternal life is fake.

A long, unproductive day.

Unless, of course, you're like me, and figger that sitting in front of a computer enriching your mind is both productive and fun.

Not to mention the periods of pure fun that I have had today with my guitar and keyboard.

And the long conversation that I got to have with my brother.

Definitely not a wasted Sunday.

But it was much longer than I had wanted it to be, I got up this morning at 08:00, and I was hoping to sleep until 11:00 or so.

O'well.

And who the hell would want eternal life anyways? I think that the concept is vastly over-rated. Sure, if you could stay young and healthy? Sorry, not gonna happen.

Internal life, though, that's something else entirely. Cognition is great, even in large doses, contrary to what I've said before on these pages, and probably will again.

External life is exclusively parasitic, or symbiotic at the very least.

Dreams and nightmares teach us this. Well, mine do, anyway.

Internity.

No, that's not a stage that a med student goes through to become a doctor.

It's, heh, a word that I just made up, in fact.

Whoops... google doesn't think that I just made it up, unless I did so before 1916... Definition: \In*ter"ni*ty\, n.
State of being within; interiority. [R.] --H. Brooke.

And it's also a phone company in Europe, darn it.

Anyways, it's a cool word, and there was a journal named that, but it seems to have disappeared into... man, I wonder if it imploded? Poor guy!

This coming week is my early week, and it's after 22:00 already, so I need to post this tripe up and get to bed, I do.

Thanx for being here!
