Time, time, enemy mine
Shake a leg, hustle your butt
Father time, deepest cut.

Bad day.

One of my co-workers whose parents live in Florida got word about 09:00 that his father, who was having what he thought was a rather routine cardiac cath today, was undergoing surgery and not expected to live through it.

I really feel bad for him.

He had to leave right away, of course, and I do hope that he made it in time.

The other thing that made it a bad day was the main machine was down until about 13:00; luckily, we weren't really busy, it could have been much, much worse.

Anyway, I'm taking call tonight for the tech who had to go to Florida, and then tomorrow night for another tech who has the whole weekend. I'll probably take call for a portion of Sunday for her too. We will be a tech short most likely for all of next week, so we need to keep everyone relatively rested.

Speaking of relatively rested, I'm gonna go to bed right after I eat something, Karen's fixing me an egg & cheese sandwich and tomato soup.

The night tech who does CTs is on vacation, so everything that comes in the ER door is liable to be a wake-up for me. And I have to be in at 07:00 in the AM.

And I managed to forget to take my morning pills today, dammit. So I just took 'em. If I get called in the middle of the night, I'll take my night time pills, otherwise I'll just take my morning pills in the AM and hoard the extra set of night pills, heh.

Well, except for the Zantac, I guess that I'd better take that one, I don't want a belly-ache.

On the bright side, today is Charles Darwin's birthday. Google it, lots of celebrating going on!

Thanx for being here!
