Burn, baby, burn! Kill Kill
The invader, the killer, the leech
Begone, evil cancer!

As I mentioned yesterday, I stayed up much too late last night. What I didn't mention was that I stayed up way too late the night before too.

Which means that I'm running on fumes here.

Fumes are not enough to keep this old engine running.

Work was work today, I was in the scan room, and that was OK. At 15:30 I volunteered to go over and relieve the early tech who was doing an ablation procedure, something new and pretty neat that we're doing. This was a liver ablation, and the patient was not a good surgical risk, this is one of the criteria. There were several tumors in the liver, and each one was localized and the ablation umbrella was placed and the area cauterized... in other words, the lesions were cooked right where they lay.

It's time-consuming, but reportedly very effective. I Haven't gotten far enough into it to know if these are primary or metastatic lesions, as always, there's a lot that I have to learn.

But I got out of there about 17:00, only a half-hour late, and Karen picked me up again. This getting up early is cramping her lifestyle, heh. But the roads still aren't really good enough yet for me to be driving the pick-up, so we're sharing the Camry.

Tard, anyway. Shower/shave and bed.

Thanx for being here!
