It's misting and freezing outside right now, more nasty stuff is supposed to be moving in, with a predicted foot of snow by Monday morning. Some places to the south and east are getting freezing rain, up to two inches. I would much rather have the snow, heh. At least maybe the power will stay on.

Got my first call at 08:15 this morning, had a short break for lunch, and I've been at the hospital ever since. I came home hoping to get a bite to eat and a shower, and I've had the bite already, and in ten minutes I'll get my shower.

I've done about 20 patients today, which is about the normal workload for a light weekday, with four techs working. And I'm tard, darned tard.

And I'm on until 15:00 tomorrow. Maybe people will have enough sense to stay home and I can get a good night's sleep? Could I be that lucky?

The tech that took call for me last night only got called in once, and that was before midnight. Which is unfortunate for her, 'cause she was doing it for the money. Not that I'm not, y'know.

I think that I need to go downstairs and play some music before I shower, I need to relax a little bit, and that usually does that.

How can people be so blind to what this one man is doing to our country?

Topeka lost 790 FT jobs the other day, TeleTech is closing down their operations here, probably (they won't admit it) sending those jobs to India. And this kind of thing is happening all over the country. Topeka has a population of about 120,000, with half of those working here, so that's a pretty big loss for this little town. It won't kill us, but it will be really hard on some people, and that sort of thing snowballs.

And then the SOB is taking OT pay away for people, nobody knows which people, but I'm most likely one of them. And OT is a third of my paycheck. Bastard.

"Compassionate Conservative" my ass; the only ones that he seems to have any compassion for are his bloodsucking corporate and energy-mogul buddies, the top one percent of the taxpayers who reap fifty percent of the his tax cut benefits.

Nothing for the middle-class except having to run harder and harder to stay in the same place, nothing for the poor but more poverty.

Same old repiglican bullshit.

I wonder if he'll go out saying, "I am not a crook!"

The sooner the better. Better had he never been born, of course. Or had he actually gone into combat when he was supposed to.
