Natterings, Notions

Notes

Tard.

But of course.

However, I did get a much better sleep last night, but I awoke several times during the night, revelling in the fact that I could breathe. I don't know what woke me up, but it wasn't not breathing.

Work was OK during the AM, but it got hairier as the day went on.

My friend Melanie called today, she got the cable put in, and then her computer refused to work, damned thing. I went over there after work for about an hour and a half, but didn't resolve anything. Gonna try to get some info off of the web so that we can re-install the OS, I think that it keeps the reinstall files hidden on a different partition on the hard drive. HP department of dirty tricks, heh.

I hate being beaten by a machine, I really do. Especially in front of a beautiful damsel in distress.

I have been toying with the idea of writing a different haiku every day pertaining to radiology.

Drink that eviltasting
Draught of bile; it will help us
Figure your guts out.

I was kinda planning on going to bed early tonight, but dammit, it's already too late for that. And it's so damned cold out, I'm tard of that already, y'know? I really just want to spend all of the time that I can coocooned in my waterbed with warm, warm, warm surrounding me. I love the fact that I can completely bury my head in the blankets and have no trouble breathing with the CPAP.

But.

I'm on call this weekend. Another tech is taking Friday night until about 08:00 on Saturday, but that means that I'll have to be there by 09:00 at least. She's also taking Sunday from about 15:00 on, so really Saturday is going to be the only bad day. Still, though, it's not like I have the weekend off or anything, there will be no late sleeping, I'm afraid.

And then there's the income tax thing coming up, I should have all the stuff that I need by Saturday. This year we are going to owe some big money because of the way we rolled Karen's retirement and 401K over, so I probably won't really file until the last day, but I'll still get it figgered out as soon as possible.

I'm really used to getting money back, dammit. I like it that way, even though I let the gummint use my money tax-free, it's nice being able to count on it to catch up on bills and stuff. Not any more.

Next week at work some exciting things are going to happen. I'm looking forward to it. Not.

Thanx for being here!
