03:33... I was awakened by a terrible pain in my right calf... muscle cramp. Excruciating pain, and it woke me out af a dead sleep. I walked it off and went back to sleep.

04:44... same damned thing, only I never got back to sleep.

I had evidently not latched the bedroom door very tight, 'cause there were two cats in bed with me, Raisin on my face and Callie on my legs. Raisin didn't bother me much, I think 'cause of the CPAP, but I did scare the hell out of him when I awoke screaming with the first cramp. Didn't scare him enough to get rid of him, though.

So I got up around 05:15, got to work at 06:30. Work was busy, but OK, 'cause we had a full staff. I probably should feel a little guilty about being off tomorrow and Monday, but no, I don't think that I will. I know that it's tough, but they'll get through it.

I came home and packed and I was on the road to Wichita about 17:00. I'd forgotten what a rough ride that little red truck has, kinda saps me just keeping it on the road for two and a half hours. Not that it handles bad or anything, but it ain't the Camry, which is nice to drive on long trips.

Beautiful sunset in the flint hills, and I saw the gossamer ghost of the near-new moon, the thinnest sliver that I have ever seen. It was about two fingers above the horizon when the sun was fully set.

Somehow, I did something to piss off a guy in an SUV. He had followed me up the ramp from I'35 North onto I-235 West, and he pulled up beside me and I could see him looking over at me and jabbering. Then suddenly he put on his brakes and took the broadway exit. I have no idea what that was all about, and I don't think that I really care.

I got to Ric and Debbie's about 19:30, pretty good time in that old truck. It was good seeing Karen again, of course, I miss her pretty quickly when she leaves for a coupla days.

Deb had fixed sandwichs and potato soup for supper, and I got there just in time, heh.

And that's about it for this day, and that's OK. I did remember the CPAP this time, and I don't really know what else I might have forgotten, that'll wait until later.

Thanx for being here!
