I came back home about 07:00 and fiddled around until about 10:00, Karen got up at 09:00 so I got to talk to her some. At 10:00 I went to sleep and Karen woke me up about 15:30 or so.

We did some hanging, she had a candelabra to go on the wall and a candle chandelier (is that somehow different than a candelabra? I dunno...) that we hung from the ceiling.

Then we had to take the rug outside and shake it, it's not a thick rug, so it can't be vacuumed, I guess. But it got well shaken and aired out.

Karen fixed chili for supper, and Jody and Lee Ann got here right on time, and we had a great evening with them. Jody showed me some guitar stuff, but mostly we just sat around and talked. Lee Ann really enjoyed playing with raisen, the new cat. Soon to be neutered and declawed, Sunday is her last day as a girl cat. She is so damned energetic, she just goes and goes and goes. Kittens are so damned much fun, too bad they grow up to be cats.

I'm planning on sleeping late in the morning and doing some heavy-duty football watching starting about noon. I've got my fingers crossed for the Chiefs, but I have absolutely no confidence in them at all.

And I was really disappointed that their kick returner Dante Hall didn't get the NFL record for returns for touchdowns. There were missed blocks every time he *didn't* go all the way, and that wasn't his fault at all, but a failure on the special teams squad.

Let's just hope that he gets a couple tomorrow, heh.

And it's past my bedtime, it is.
