A pretty laid-back day, spent regaining strength.

The bad news? Karen probably has what I had.

She told me that the nice thing about being sick when you're retired is that she doesn't have to call in sick. How nice for her.

But that's the only good thing about it. And yes, sorry for the sarcasm. I could've just gone in and deleted it, but then you would think that I'm a nicer guy than I really am, and I just couldn't have that, could I?

I'm on call now until about 10:00 tomorrow morning, and I'm pretty well prepared to be up all night, I think. I called in about 18:30 and the other tech was finishing up a coupla patients then he was going home.

Well, just got called. More later.

One single, pretty interesting case. I will talk about it sometime in the near future, when it will be unbonded to the date.

Unbonded, there's gotta be a better word, I know. Disassimalated, maybe? Whatever.

Winter storm going on just north of here, but it doesn't look like it will cross the river and get South Topeka, anyway. Cold wind, though.

Well, heh, the radar says that it's snowing right here right now. Ain't, though, nary a flake.

I watched the first wild-card game today, very entertaining. I was happy to see Tennessee win a squeaker. I'm missing seeing the Cowboys get beat (I hope) 'cause Karen's watching Lifetime, bleah.

22:47

Well, I did watch the Cowboys getting beat up on in the third quarter before I got called in again. Nothing interesting this time, though.

There was some evidence of some snow, though, little swirls on the streets and a kinda sparky look to them, like there'd been an accident and those tiny pieces of glass were left laying around. At first I thought that's what it was, but it was on every street, so I ruled that out fairly quickly.

I think... and this might be stupid... that I'll go to bed and try to get some sleep, just to tempt whatever gods there might be. Or fate, anyway. Yeah, that's it, I'll tempt fate. Fate is much harder to figger out than the multiplicity of possible gods being purported.

Thanx for being here!
